Tourbillion

A tourbillion is truly a rare timepiece. Its type seems to only appear in the most expensive of watches. This derives from the delicacy of the timepiece, and the expertise required in hand making each time piece. In essence, the tourbillion is a watch that can freely move within its casing, in order to counter the effect of gravity. The escapement and balance wheel are mounted in a rotating cage. The mechanism is usually exposed on the watch’s face to show it off.
